SAPSASA
Risdon Park Primary School offers students the opportunity to participate in SAPSASA competitions and events.
SAPSASA provides pathways for students to engage in interschool sport, representing our school and developing their skills in a supportive and competitive environment.
Students may participate in a range of sports and carnivals, building teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship while enjoying physical activity.
Participation in SAPSASA is a valuable opportunity for students to challenge themselves, work collaboratively with others and take pride in representing their school.
Choir
Risdon Park Primary School offers an exciting extra-curricular Choir program for students in Years 3–6. Students are welcome to join regardless of previous experience—everyone who is interested is encouraged to participate.
The Choir begins rehearsals in Term 1 and provides a wonderful opportunity for students to develop their musical skills, build confidence, and work collaboratively. Throughout the year, students prepare a range of repertoire, culminating in a special performance at Keith Michell Theatre alongside choirs from other schools in the region.
Participation in the Choir is open to all students in Years 3–6 on an opt-in basis.

Instrumental Music
Risdon Park Primary School offers an Instrumental Music program as an enriching extra-curricular opportunity for students interested in learning and performing music. Led by our specialist teacher, Mark Cameron-Smith, students receive instruction in brass and woodwind instruments.
The Instrumental Music program supports students in developing their musical abilities, building confidence, and collaborating with peers.

Children’s University
Risdon Park Primary School is proud to be part of the Children’s University Australasia program, which encourages students to engage in learning beyond the classroom.
Children’s University provides students with opportunities to participate in a wide range of approved learning activities, both at school and within the community. These experiences support curiosity, independence, and a love of lifelong learning.
Students collect hours for their participation and celebrate their achievements through graduation ceremonies, recognising their commitment to extending their learning.
Through this program, students are encouraged to explore new interests, build confidence, and take ownership of their learning journey.
